Design Notes

Please note, this fixed image size is designed for 800x600 resolution screens. In essence the image will fill 90% of the screen thus showing a subtle background.

This design simplifies the Marwell home page and works hard to first get across the are you open/how do we get there question. Note also, we are going to start using alot more powerful images. The top banner will be textured, I did try another animal print but it started to look too confusing so went for this simple symmetrical pattern. Remember again we have loads of banner space for future promotions....

Education, Conservation remain the same, About marwell is simply Zoo Information reworded.

The page promotes why people will first visit showing where you are, opening times etc. This is essentially Visitor Information rebundled. The tiger/frog actually shows a transitioning image which will slide show really powerful Marwell images. I see this as being really powerful and return ownership back to you once up and running. Your in-house design staff can not only provide the images, but also I think there could be powerful words with the images and possibly promotion of individual products as and when you require - valentines adoption, partnerships etc with onward links.

Moving on the Marwell standard links will be clearly highlighted - directions online ticket sales etc.

Then we push What's on and Marwell News harder. Finally, you have an area for standard and future required links down the bottom left.
